Make a Cash Donation
Metro Homeless Center relies on the generosity of members and organizations in our community to help finance the operations of our programs and services. Your financial contribution makes a difference in the lives of the many women who need a safe place to sleep and the resources to help stabilize and begin to rebuild their lives. If you would like to make a donation to Metro, please mail it to:

Volunteer
Volunteer Meal Program
Groups and individuals provide prepared meals each evening for the 25 residents in our Emergency Shelter Program. Some of these groups serve and share the meal with the residents.
Board of Directors
The volunteer Board of Directors consists of representatives of partner agencies/organizations and members of the community.
Metro Auxiliary
We invite anyone who is interested to serve on our Auxiliary. This group supports Metro through programs and fundraising activities.
Student Volunteer Program
High school or college students are welcome to volunteer at Metro for their community service requirements. Supervised by the staff member, these volunteer experiences are designed to meet the needs at the shelter and be appropriate for the volunteer. College undergraduate or graduate students can design and complete a project to benefit the shelter which fits with their academic program requirements.
Other Volunteer Activities
Volunteers occasionally offer arts and crafts, musical, or other experiences for shelter residents. These are arranged and supervised through the Director of Programs & Services.
For more information about volunteering, please contact Sheila Clayton at (314) 534-1010 ext. 221 or sheila@metrohomelesscenter.org
